Walking into Brucettes Shoes Inc. is reminiscent of earlier shopping days. The building itself stands alone, the sleekly designed sales floor sits luxuriously and the crystal chandelier in the center of the ceiling reflects in mirrored walls surrounding the entire store. A museum-style display of extraordinary shoes rests along side the store for customer's delight and patronage. Founder Louis Hoffman began his career selling shoes in high school through distributive Education. He would sell shoes every afternoon until closing and afterward restock the inventory, sweep the floor and clean the lavatory before going home to do schoolwork.
