The World Trade Organization does not see any outcome in India’s view to facilitate trade in services, which is aimed at raising the predictability in visa regime for technology professional and nurses, at the Ministerial Meeting in Argentina.
According to the sources quoted by The Economic Times, the European Union, which is also facilitating for the similar system, has been already told by the WTO that the issue is not suitable for discussion in the WTO’s top-level meeting of the decision makers.

The WTO body is divided over the issue of India’s stand of stockholding food for the security purpose which will be helpful especially for the developing countries as then they can impose higher level of excise duty in the situation of increase on import.
