We have all heard of stories of couples separating and enjoying the riches post divorce with the alimony.
According to a high court ruling, the judge has ruled out in the favor of the women to receive £60 million after the breakdown of her marriage to her rich Indian husband.
Simrin Choudhrie alongside her multi-millionaire husband and boss has consistently fought over tens of millions of pounds in the Family Division of the High Court in London.
The hearings were preceded by Justice Cohen who considered all the disputes in the private hearings, the details of which have not been given out.
This high profile case combined in a number of Britain’s top divorce lawyers.
Mrs. Choudhrie was represented by the “Steel Magnolia” in the field, named Fiona Shackleton. Her team of barristers included Stewart Leech QC, Daniel Bentham and Amy Kisser.
While the interior designer has been demanding 100 million pounds from her husband as alimony, the same was reduced by 40%, bringing it down to 60 million pounds that Mr. Choudhrie has to pay post divorce.
Mr. Choudhrie is the founder of the Westminster-based global private equity firm C&C Alpha Group and is the son of one of the richest Indian families of Liberal Democrat donor with a networth of around 1.6 billion pounds.
Mr. Choudhrie was represented by famous solicitor Ayesha Vardag, who is famous for her win in the 2010 Supreme Court victory that helped strengthen the power of the prenup agreements in the English law.
