An International coalition to find and distribute the COVID-19 vaccine in association with the WHO will not have the Trump administration in attendance.

The US government on Tuesday announced that it would not join an international group that discusses the findings and distributions of the COVID-19 vaccine across the world as the meeting would be led by the World Health Organization.

Why won’t Trump join the coalition? Why Trump is against the WHO?

A brief Flashback

After initially praising China and the WHO at the pandemic outset, Donald Trump has took back his words later.

In early April, Trump blasted the WHO with his words saying they misled the actual information about the coronavirus pandemic. He claimed that WHO is China-centric in its approach and he also stopped his funding to the organization.

Trump said that the World Health Organization knows about the pandemic outbreak way before but had gone along with China’s efforts to downplay the severity.

In Jule, Trump sent a letter to the organization regarding his withdrawal and said the country will not participate in any sort of effort that would be laid by the organization related to the development of vaccines.
