Singapore:
Think tank National University of Singapore, made a statement to the media that, a popular Indian Origin academician and analyst of foreign Mr. C Raja Mohan was appointed as the chief director of the Institute of South Asian Studies.
Mr.Mohan, was top rated among many leading strategic commentators and thinkers, he is expected to anticipate the charge in to the position of Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) from May 21.
At the same time Mohan would be carrying out his functionaries as visiting research professor at the ISAS, the statement said, that since 2012 he has been a visiting research professor at the ISAS.
“It is important for us to further extend our imprint across South Asia through engagement and research relevant to our stakeholders and policymakers, in particular, and the global academic and research fraternity, in general.”
Chairman ambassador of ISAS Gopinath Pillai said that “I strongly believe that Professor Mohan is well qualified to do that for ISAS. He comes with a wealth of experience on South Asia and its relations with the global powers,”
Mr. Mohan has held various academic appointments, at the leading institutions across the globe and he is also a best selling author of several publications.
