After Bhishma’s ‘stepping down’, Karna entered the battle-field much to Duryodhan’s happiness. They wanted to capture Yudhisthir alive and so Drona, (commander-in-chief) started planning according ti that aim. Drona broke the bow of Yudhisthir and this made Pandavas scared for Yudhisthir, Arjun rushed to the scene and his hasty rain of arrows made Drona retreat.
