Africa is fighting two virus infections from which one is coronavirus and the other is a new Ebola outbreak. Ebola infection is taking a turn which killed 11, according to the latest report from African officials.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is fighting the new epidemic of ebola. The authorities informed that till now, 17 people are infected. Ebola is a measles epidemic which killed 11 people from infected ones.
Health officials gave information of 12 infections last week in the central African country. On the other side, the country is fighting coronavirus with 4,800 cases and 112 deaths.
The World Health Organization issued an update- ebola cases were confirmed in seven health zones across Equateur. Two are recorded in Bolomba.
WHO also said over 2,500 people were vaccinated following the province. The vaccination helped in controlling the ebola outbreak that is 1000 km away in the east of the Africa country. Since 2018, the infection has killed more than 2,200 people.
Ebola is a virus that was discovered that touched northern DR Congo’s Ebola River in 1976 but it is not linked to the one in the east.
