A memorial service has been organized recently to celebrate the life of an Indian orthopedic surgeon at the Hindu Temple of Greater Cincinnati in Ohio us United States.
Dr. Premanand Nayak, who worked and lived in Ontario, Canada from 1972 to 1980 and then moved to Cincinnati, where he worked till his retirement in 2012, passed away recently at the age of 80.
He was famous for working at the Government Hospitals in India to provide his services to the poor and also for showing compassion towards needy Indians.
An orthopedic, Nayak moved to Ontario and specialized in arthroscopic knee surgery, rotator cuff repairs can carpal tunnel surgery.

He had always suggested his patients to lose weight and quit smoking to get healthy and strong bones.
He is survived by his family including wife, Suneethi, sons Suresh and Naresh and daughter Sangeetha along with 7 grandchildren.
