Indo-Canadian YouTuber Lilly Singh, aka Superwoman, has been ruling over the hearts of people for years now. While she is known for her humor and compassion, she recently bagged her very own Late Night show on NBC, making her the first Indian-Canadian woman to have one.

With the grand success of the first season of “A Little Late with Lilly Singh”, show is now renewed for another season despite the issues that the entertainment company has been experiencing amidst the Covid-19 outbreak.

Singh, who is the first Indian-origin host of a late night comedy show in America, is also the executive producer of the show.

In a press release by the entertainment company, they mentioned saying, “NBC’s late-night legacy continues to charge forward as “A Little Late with Lilly Singh” has been renewed for a second season.”

When asked about her experience being a host of the show, Singh stated in the press release that the experience of interviewing guests from Malala Yousafzai to Snoop Dogg has been an extreme learning experience for her. She also expressed her happiness and excitement on having the show renewed for the next season.

The show, which was taped entirely through the fourth quarter of 2019 is available for people to watch across US, Canada, India and globally via several online and offline channels including YouTube, Hulu, NBC etc.

As per the reports from NBC, Singh’s show does beat out some of the freshman programs and easily ranks at the top on YouTube broadcast series ever since its premiere last September.

Katie Hockmeyer, EVP Late Night Programming at NBC Entertainment praised Singh’s talent saying that she is incredible in what she does. She further emphasised that “A Little Late With Lilly” has brought in a host of global audience to NBC, which is amazing. The channel now looks forward to her unique showmanship and style with the next season now.

During her initial start of her career on YouTube, Lilly performed a lot of family related skits on her channel. As her channel grew, so did her audience and her talent. She has even performed with leading Hollywood personalities like Dwayne Johnson and James Franco on her channel.

The first season of the NBC show witnessed a large diversity of guests on the show including Mindy Kaling, Charlize Theron, Malala Yousafzai, Jessica Alba, Tracee Ellis Ross, Natalie Portman, America Ferrera, Ashley Graham, Justin Hartley, Meghan Trainor, Tony Shalhoub, Snoop Dogg, Terry Crews, Daisy Ridley, Awkwafina, John Legend, RuPaul, Adam Devine, Tyra Banks and several others.

Across and combining all of her social media channels, Lilly has over 36 million followers and a global based of audience.

Not just television and YouTube, Lilly has also been part of several Hollywood movies and shows including Fahrenheit 451, Bad Moms, and Ice Age: Collision Course.

Singh has also published a book which went on to be the New York times bestseller titled “How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life.” With her achievements, she has been in the Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Hollywood & Entertainment list and has received several other accolades.

Recently, Lilly released a video on her YouTube channel announcing the good news of the renewal of the show where she has even put in clips of her returning her gratitude to people by being kind to some of her fans and the frontline workers.
