International-Flights-May

Aviation minister Hardeep Singh is aiming to resume international flights from July month. The situation considering pandemic is being monitored and efforts are to move the international flights as early as possible.

The officials of the administration announced their decision to open the international flying gates in July but the date is not yet confirmed. The view of the officials revealed as the inquiries are hiked up day by day.

Up to June 30, the international flights will continue to be suspended.

The Aviation Minister gave a twitter confirmation posting “We are continuously monitoring the situation and will consider restarting international flights as soon as the situation normalises a bit and poses no danger to our citizens. We will also have to consider that countries, where we intend to fly, are open to incoming foreign citizens”

The wait till next month is to normalize the situation and not to risk the lives of lakhs of flight passengers.

Mr.Puri also explained how it is possible to start the international flights- firstly domestic flights have to touch the 50-60% mark which easily follows with international flights to be viable.

This an interlinked decision again by the aviation ministry. Most of the international flights take off from metro cities where the coronavirus outbreak is hugely spreading. Hence, the safety measure is to restrict the flight operations.

At present, the airlines are operating with one third (⅓) of their summer capacity in general. Still most of the states are imposed with restrictions and keep the operations limited as a safety measure to avoid the virus spread further.

Finally, we can only say- the resumption of the international flights are pertained based on various factors. Once the respective jurisdictions release the states from lockdown, then the details of international flights will be even more clearer. Ministry of aviation spoke to India Today TV regarding the flight resumption- states like Maharashtra are planning to raise the number of flights from 25 departures and 25 arrivals.
