In 2019, a significant growth of 39% in the number of Indian students in Australia when compared to the previous years makes Australian Education Minister Dan Tehan say that the country offers excellent quality education and it has a friendly and multi-cultural environment that brings in more students in the Universities.
Further, he praises the Australian Universities for their safe and comfortable accommodation and research facilities for students across the globe.
According to a report released by the Council of International Education in Australia on Thursday, it says that Indians play a major role in helping the Australian Economy grow by contributing $5.5billion through higher education.
Since 2014, there is a 71% of an increase in the number of students studying in Australia and in 2018-2019 about 1,07,673 students enrolled to study in Australia.
According to the Australian High Commission in Delhi, Mr.Tehan is on a visit to New Delhi and he mentions that the ‘Post Study Work Policy’ is attracting Indian students to study in Australia.
The post study work rights offer attractive scholarships for international students who opt for destinations outside Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney.
