The 15-year-old Indian origin girl will be one among attendees for the President Donald Trump’s state of the Union address in Washington on Tuesday.
Kerala-origin Uma Menon, a student of Winter Park High School, Florida, will be one among the audience when Trump delivers his speech before a joint session of Congress.
The teen girl got the grabbed the opportunity to be a guest at Trump’s second State of the Union address after winning the State of the Union essay competition arranged by Democrat Stephanie Murphy.
Daughter of Kerala’s Thrissur natives Ramkumar Menon and Shailaja Alat, engineer and entrepreneurs in Orlando, Uma wants to make a mark in politics.
Uma wants to be a part of the campaign of California Senator Kamala Harris, who is of Indian and African descent and announced her 2020 presidential bid recently if she wins the Democratic nomination for the U.S. presidential election.
Besides listening to Trump’s speech, Uma says she will like to make use of the chance to bring together other members of Congress with student-youth leaders like her.
