A body of an Indian- origin female has been recovered from a lake on the campus of a premier university in the US state of Indiana.
The body that has been recovered is said to be identified as of a 21- year- old student at the University of Notre Dame who has been missing since 21st of January, as reported by CBS Minnesota.
The 21- year- old, Annrose Jerry is said to be an accomplished musician and having her relatives in Kerala. She has been majoring in science and business and has topped her class at the Blaine High School.
A silver alert has been issued by the authorities on Thursday as they have believed that Jerry was in extreme danger.
The media relations office of the university, Notre Dame News have said in a statement that Jerry has been missing since Tuesday in the evening and the police of the Notre Dame have been searching around the campus and several other ways have been pursued as they have made an effort in order to find her.
The body of Annrose Jerry has been found on the campus lake by the public safety personnel on Friday. The corpse has been identified as that of Jerry by the St. Joseph County Coroner Michael J McGann.
It has been confirmed by St. Joseph County Coroner that the external examinations that have been done to the body has revealed no signs of trauma.
The local reports have said that falling into the lake accidentally can be the cause of Annrose Jerry’s death.
Annrose has been described as a skilled musician with expertise in playing the piano, in her obituary. Is has also been said that Jerry would play the flute for the Folk Choir of her university.
The condolences have been shared in a post on Facebook by the University of Nore Dam Folk where in Annrose Jerry has been described as a sweet, intelligent, strong, passionate, kind- hearted friend.
It has been said by the university that Annrose Jerry was going to graduate this year and that she has been looking for pursuing dental studies.
Annrose Jerry who is an Indian- origin was born in Ernakulum, Kerala and had immigrated along with her family in the early 2000s to the United States.
