Indian descent and London based entrepreneur, Kartar Lalvani has been bestowed with Britain’s prestigious Science Museum Group Fellowship in acknowledgment of his contribution to the scientific world and philanthropy.
Lalvani, founder and chairman of Vitabiotics Ltd, received fellowship at Director’s Annual Dinner at the Science Museum.
The Science Museum Group Fellows Programme was set up in the year 2009 as the part of Museum’s centenary celebrations to acknowledge the scientists and individuals who changed the world though academi research, design, technology, scientific, communications and philanthropy.
Dame Mary Archer, Chairman, Science Museum Group hailed the achievements of Lalvani.
Receiving the fellowship, Lalvani expressed his felicity saying, “It is truly one of my life’s greatest privileges to accept the fellowship from science museum. To be honored by this renowned, iconic institution is the highest affirmation and accolade of my life’s work that I could imagine. Science museum is truly remarkable in how it inspires future generations to come.”
He further added, “Even more humbling is the honor of joining such a distinguished group of truly remarkable fellows including some of the world’s greatest scientists, from professor Stephen Hawking to NRI Noble prize winner Sir Venkatraman Ramakrishnan.”
