Sri Preston Kulkarni who is an Indian- American member of the Democratic Party and also the former diplomat has won the Democratic Party for Texas’ 22nd District, as reported by the American media.
Kulkarni who is a 40 year old democrat will be running against the Republican candidate in the November election.
The Indian- American member of the Democratic Party Sri Preston Kulkarni has defeated Nyanza Davis Moore and also Derrick Reed who is the former council member of the Pearland city, in the party election which has been held on Tuesday.
It has been said that he would now be taking on the winner of the May 26 Republican primary run off, as said in a report by the Hill.
Sri Preston Kulkarni has narrowly lost the Congressional race in the same district in the year 2018, to incumbent the Congressman Pete Olson.
It has been noted that Kulkarni has earlier served for around fourteen years in the United States Foreign Service which also includes Iraq, Russia, Israel, Taiwan and Jamaica.
Sri Preston Kulkarni is the son of Venkatesh Kulkarni who is an Indian novelist who moved to the United States in the year 1969 and has worked as a professor at the Rice University.
