According to the reports published in the media, a 14-year-old Indian origin boy has become the youngest pilot to fly a single-engine aircraft.
The report published in the Gulf News stated that a boy named Mansour Anis, studying in the 9th standard in Delhi Private School in Sharjah has received his certificate to fly a solo flight from a Canadian aviation academy last week.
Report also stated that Anis flew the aircraft for around 5 minutes and then landed back on the ground successfully.
Anis, who now has student permit, flew in Cessna 152 aircraft and has also passed a radio communication test. Along with this, he has also scored 96 percent in PSTAR Test, which is an eligibility exam for the Transport Canada.
Anis has also become the youngest pilot with the least number of flying hours with only 25 hours of flying breaking the earlier record of 15-year-old German and 14-year-old US pilot who took 25 34 hours of flying training.
The mother of Anis, Munira said that her brother Qaid Faizy, who was working as a pilot of Jet Airways in India, was an inspiration for her child.
