The body of an Indian-American woman was found in the boot of her own car, said a media report. The victim was reported missing by her family claiming that she did not return home last month.
Sureel Dabawala, an MBA of 34 years of age from the Loyola University in Chicago, went missing last month and it had been reported on December 30 last year, as the report in The American Bazaar said on Thursday. Private investigators have been hired by the family for the search of the missing woman.
The private investigators have found the woman wrapped in a blanket in the trunk of her own car, after several days of search. She was found on Monday in Chicago’s West Garfield Park neighbourhood.
The corpse of the missing woman has been sent for autopsy and the reports are still awaited. However, no arrests have been made regarding the case so far.
Sureel was the daughter of Ashraf Dabawala who is Schaumburgh-based and is a respected physician in the area, hailing from Gujarat and the family has also been described as the most loving and generous people by the Indians who lived the area.
The Dabawala family has announced $10,000 as the reward for anyone who could provide information about Susheel Dabawala. The announcement has been made days after the woman was missing.
The police has said that the cause of the death is still unknown and it might take few months for the investigations to get completed based on the reports of toxicology as it might help the authorities in determining the cause of the death.
