For the first time in the history, an Indian-American has crowned the Miss Virginia Teen USA.
A student of Centerville High School Student, Himanvi Panidepu, who is also a winner of Miss Central Virginia USA, was chosen among other 39 contestants in the pageant, which was held on Sunday night.
The event took place in the Tidewater Community College’s Roper Theater, situated at Downtown, Norfolk.
Through the pageant, Panidepu will also be serving various humanitarian causes with Best Buddies International such as advocating for the special needs for children as well as adults, who are suffering from disabilities.
