According to the report published in the moneycontrol.com, large number of CEOs as well as top guns have recommended the Indian firms in US to lobby harder for H1B visa issue especially after the moves by the Trump Administration under the America First policy.
The issue of H1B visas has come under scrutiny since the campaigning for Donald Trump for the Presidential Elections. Significant amount of increase in the daily wages of for an IT professional holding H1B visa has daunted the whole structure.
The US government earlier had also stopped the premium processing of the H1B visas to curb the excess flow of visa applications. However, US government had resumed the premium visa processing soon after the criticism.
US Bars 17 Firms From Applying for H1-B
The H1B visa helps the foreign workers to travel to US to work. It is mostly popular among the Indian IT professionals.
Very recently, Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as well as Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu said that the issue of H1B visas was raised intensely with the US officials. The same issue was also discussed between Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the US State Secretary Rex Tillerson, in the meeting when the former visited India.
