No 1 – Bread Upma
Bread Upma is a simple, filling and tasty breakfast meal. The moment you take a bite, the upma would have already melted in your mouth.

Ingredients
- 8 bread slices
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp garam masala powder
- 5 mint leaves
- A handful coriander leaves
- 3 green chilies
- 8-10 pods garlic
- Salt pas per your requirement
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
Method
- In a blender, add green chilies, garlic, mint leaves, coriander leaves, garam masala, red chili powder and turmeric powder. Blend this mixture.
- Turn on the flame, place a pan, add oil, cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Stir it for a few seconds.
- Add the blended mixture and allow it to cook for 2 minutes.
- Add sufficient water, keep the pan covered and allow the water to boil.
- Once it starts boiling, add the bread slices into boiling water and mix it for a minute or two.
- The bread upma is ready. Add lime juice and mix the upma.
This recipe won’t take more than ten minutes.
No 2 – Egg Curry
Egg curry and chapati is one of the best lunch meals. If you quickly want to make something nutritious and tasty, this is the best recipe.
The method to make this curry is quite simple. Just boil eggs, peel it and begin to prepare the main masala.

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 green chilies
- 2 onions – small pieces
- salt and pepper as per your requirement
- 1 tomato – small pieces
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1½ tbsp oil
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp coriander – finely chop it
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
Method
- Put 4 eggs in a pan of water, add salt and boil it for 8-10 minutes.
- While the eggs are boiling, add oil in a pan, heat it for a few seconds, add onions and ginger garlic paste. Fry it till it turns golden brown.
- Add chopped coriander, turmeric and green chilies.
- Add tomatoes, cook it for 5 minutes until it gets soft. Add salt and chili powder. Stir this mixture for a few minutes.
- By now the eggs must have got boiled, run them under cold water, remove the shells, cut it into halves and add it into the pan. Add pepper and stir this mixture.
No 3 – Alu And Raw Banana Baji
Baji is an evening snack that can bring happiness at the end of your day. While watching it snow or rain from your window, you can munch on hot alu and banana baji’s.
Ingredients
- 100g gram flour
- 1 raw banana
- 3 Potatoes
- finely chopped green chilies – 2
- turmeric- 1tsp
- 2 tsp garam masala
- dried fenugreek leaves – 2 tsp
- grates ginger – 2 tsp
- cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- 1 tsp salt
- red chili powder – ½ tsp
- water
- chopped coriander – a handful
- oil
Method
- Peel, wash and cut the vegetables (banana and alu) round and thin.
- Add dry spices, coriander, chilies, and, gram flour. Mix these ingredients with your hands.
- To thicken the batter, add a little water and see to it that all the vegetables are dipped in the mixture.
- Take a pan, add oil, let it heat for ten minutes. To test the heat, drop in a little batter. It the batter gets brown, then you can start frying.
- Be careful while you are frying the dipped vegetables. Use a round spoon to turn the baji around. When you observe it crispy and golden brown, remove it and allow it to dry for a few seconds on a kitchen paper. The reason you need to use a kitchen paper is because it drains out excess oil.
