An FIR has been registered against a Mohali based social worker Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate which evoked anger among the American Punjabi Community in North America.
Satnam Singh Chahal, the executive director of North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has disclosed the matter in a press release. As he condemned the registration of FIR against Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate a Mohali based social worker, he said that the conspiracy was to discourage the social service done by Siranjit Kaur Gill Advocate which she has been doing for the welfare of the people in the state. Chahal added saying that Miss Simranjit is a great social leader of our community who should never be discouraged to stop her by performing social services in the state.
Simranjit Kaur gill advocate played a key role in helping the flood-hit victims recently in Doaba region and he services that she is performing for the welfare of our society can never be forgotten by the people of our state, said Chahal.
The Punjab police and Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh were urged by the NAPA to look into the matter and to cancel the FIR that has been register against Simranjit Kaur Gill advocate.
Chahal also assured Simranjit Kaur Gill Advocate that the Punjabi diaspora expresses harmony with her and that no stone will be left upturned to cancel the FIR that has been registered against her.
