BTS Army in India raised around 8000 dollars which equals to around 5,80,000 rupees in just 24 hours for the Assam flood relief funds. BTS is a very famous South Korean boy band and the fans call themselves the BTS Army.
BTS is a very famous South Korean band of young boys who perform songs and dances on stage. BTS gained a huge following in just a couple of years not only in their country South Korea but also almost around the world including countries like United States of America and India.
The BTS fans like to call themselves Army or BTs army. They Korean Pop boy band or the Kpopis very popular among teenagers especially young girls.
The fans have multiple fan pages on many social media platforms. The BTS army all over the world is known for not just loving the boy band but also believe in giving back to the needful by actively participating in charitable work. In India as well BTS army is there in huge numbers.
In one such needful incident, a BTS Army fan page in India got together to gather funds for Assam Flood Relief. Assam is been facing with floods with almost a week and mainstream media does not care to show the difficulties faced by the people. People are dying every day because of the floods and are getting injured. Homes are being destroyed and damage is being done consistently.
This particular BTS Army fan page started an initiative of raising funds for Assam and people in Assam who were affected by the floods. The group was started by a twitter page called @btshelpsindia. The initiative was started initially to gather around 6,600 dollar which equals to around 5,00,000 Indian rupees. The word of this initiative spread like a wildfire and the group managed to collect 8000 dollars in just 24 hours of the commencement. The amount equals around 5,80,000 Indian rupees.
This is such a good initiative by the youth of the country and they are giving back to the society and helping those who actually need it the most.Assam had already been facing the wrath of the coronavirus surge cases and are doing every bit in their capability to fight the virus and now the floods. Many lives have been lost in the floods and many of them are injured and much more damage is done to the property. People in Assam are literally fighting life and death every day.
The fandom of BTS Army late also established donation links for the Assam Flood relief funds and are spreading the word not just in India but also to all BTS Armies around the world. They are also urging the fans to donate as much as they can and help the people of Assam in this tragedy.
Assam is a state in North Eastern India known for its wildlife, archeological sites and tea plantations. Assam has a population of around 3.09 crores and is a beautiful city known for its nature and natural habitat. The state capital, Dispur, is a suburb of Guwahati. North Eastern states have been ignored by traditional main stream India in many ways. The issues and difficulties re not very much highlighted like that of the other states.
Assam has recorded more than 21 thousand coronavirus cases in the last few months. At one time there were zero cases in Assam and since the lockdown has been lifting the cases in Assam are spreading and increasing like a wild fire. Assam has seen 51 fatalities till Today. Assam is one of those few states where the government charging no fees for Covid-19 tests. Not just that Assam government is also bearing the cost of Covid care facilities by providing free stay, food and other amenities to its patients.
India is now the third worst affected country and has crossed the 1 million mark with over 1.04 million coronavirus cases and more than 26,000 deaths.
