Diwali or Deepawali, the Festival of Lights, has been around for generations. The festival denotes the extinction of darkness and lighting the light of knowledge. It also denotes the victory of truth or Dharma over wrongs or Adharma. Diwali brings all the good wishes along with Happiness and Prosperity.
Asia Today Arizona and Mauj Entertainment Arizona organizes the 6th annual Diwali Mela from 12 PM to 9 PM on 22nd October 2016 at Kiwanis Park, in Tempe, Arizona. Manju Walia and Deepa Walia of Asia Today Arizona provides the leadership in the success of conducting the event from the year 2011. The event has become popular among the Indian community and participated in large numbers.
In the mela, you can enjoy the various food, clothes, jewelry booths and more followed by a dance party starting at 6:30 pm. The entertainment programs on the venue includes Dance, Music, food, Kids activities, Live fusion and folk vocal performances by renowned artists. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame Imran Ali and Darshana Menon are the key attractions.
Diwali Mela has received tremendous support from the Indian diaspora for the past five years. The Indian diaspora’s enthusiasm has prompted the organizers to come back with the event every year from 2011.
In addition to the local talent, Bollywood stars such as Harjit Mehndi, Ishmeet Narula, Faraz Butt, Ameer Ali, and many others will grace the occasion and kick off the exciting live music, under the stars dance party that begins at 6:30 PM.
The occasion will be electrified with the scintillating performances and will definitely create the nostalgia of celebrating the Diwali back in India. The togetherness of the Indian community can pass on the unity and support between the different Indian communities.
