The House Democrats have said the Donald Trump must be convicted as he is personally responsible for the riot at the US Capitol.
More of them detail the President’s incitement of insurrection against the Republican. This situation has called for the Republican to be disqualified from running for office again. On the other Hand, Trump’s legal team argues that the impeachment article given by the Republicans is in violation of the United States Constitution.
The Capitol Riot took place on January 6th. The storming into the Capitol took place while Congress was meeting inside to certify the election victory of USA President Joe Biden. The riot had led to the death of four people. This is Trump’s second impeachment trial. He is the first President of the United States to get impeached twice.
House impeachment managers have stated that Trump repeated refusal to concede the election to Mr Biden which encouraged the riot in the first place. Trump supporters gathered at a Save America rally near the White House where Trump urged them to fight like hell because Biden won the election by a landslide.
