The wife of Canadian Prime Minister, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau has been tested positive for the deadly novel coronavirus, as said in a statement from the office of the Prime Minister.
It has been mentioned in the statement that she would be remained in isolation for the time being and that she has been taking all the precautions that have been recommended and that the symptoms are said to be mild.
The couple, The Prime Minister and his wife are said to be currently in self- isolated condition.
The statement from the Prime Minister’s office has mentioned that Mr Trudeau has no symptoms and is in good health. However, the Prime Minister would also remain in isolation for two weeks.
Mr Trudeau has no plans of being tested for the deadly novel coronavirus at this point of time.
The prime Minister would be continuing to assume his duties completely and would be addressing the Canadians on Friday, as said by the office of Mr Trudeau.
The Prime Minister Trudeau who is 48 years of age had held several meetings over the phone which also included with the special cabinet committee on the COVID-19, on Thursday, as said by his office. It has also been said that the Prime Minister has also spoke with the leaders of Italy, the United States and Britain.
Mr Trudeau would be talking with the indigenous leaders as well as the provincial and the territorial premiers on Friday, in order to coordinate the response of Canada to the deadly novel coronavirus and also to limit the impact that is being caused regarding the economy of the country.
According to the statement that has been made earlier, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau who is the wife of Prime Minister Trudeau has immediately sought medical advice and testing after she has been experiencing some mild symptoms following her return from the United Kingdom.
Since the deadly novel COVID-19 has emerged in the late December of the year 2019, there have been 134,818 confirmed cases of being infected by the deadly coronavirus across the globe, spreading over 116 countries until now and the number of deaths that have been caused by being infected by the deadly virus has been recorded to be 4,984 in number.
