Dr. Dave A chokshi , a 39 year old doctor from India is a physician in Ney York. He is now appointed as New York city’s new health commissioner by Mayor Bill de Blasio. The commissioner has commended him for and appreciated him for playing a crucial role in helping with the corona virus challenges in the city.
Blasio also stated that Chokshi spent most of his career fighting for those who struggled to live. He was an active member in the health department and helped very often during the corona virus pandemic.
Chokshi had also served in the White House with the Obama administration and was the principal health advisor to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Obama appointed him to the Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion and Integrative and Public Health in 2016.
Chokshi stated that the pandemic has effected many people in the city and all over the world. He also stated that him in the health department unmasks and might eradicate disease, racism and economic dislocation in relation to health manners in New York city.
Doctors who have worked with Chokshi said that h was very kind to all his patients and treated them with full respect and kindness. He also touched the lives and communities of many patients he worked with.
He initially trained in Peru, Ghana and India. He then trained at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and Harvard Medical School.
Although he is appointed to such as esteemed position, Dr. Chokshi stated that he will miss working in the clinic and helping clients.
