On Tuesday, Joe Biden is likely to present his speech on the Affordable Care Act. In addition, the High Court would hear arguments on its merits on the same day.

Biden would draws light on emphasizing on health care while preparing himself to take office in January during this difficult phase of battling against covid-19.

This week, the transition process would be launched as the virus spreads across the country. On Monday, the U.S. has witnessed 10 million cases.

In one of his speeches on Monday, he requested all the Americans to let go of political differences and wear masks to stay safe and help others stay safe too.

“We could save tens of thousands of lives if everyone would wear a mask for the next few months. Not Democratic or Republican lives, American lives,” Biden said. “Please, I implore you, wear a mask.”

In America’s largest conservative state, Texas, the suit challenging health care law was brought, this is backed by Trump and top Republicans.

This law focuses on asking Supreme Court to declare the law’s mandate to buy health insurance unconstitutional because earlier Congress had canceled the penalties for non compliance.

Having served as a Vice President alongside Barrack Obama, Biden has promised to work on the Affordable Care Act that would allow many people to opt into Government-sponsored health insurance or they even have an option to stick with their current employer-based coverage.

These changes can be implemented only if the Democrats lose a majority in the Senate. This would be decided in January.

Meanwhile, Biden is planning a Presidential transition even as Trump doesn’t admit to the race and argues that it was wrongly taken away from him.

Chief staff and cabinet appointments would be named and it would take a few weeks for it to be finalized.

Currently, Biden is facing a few hurdles from the General Services Administration who have been given a task to formally recognize Biden as the President. This recognition would improve co-ordination between the outgoing and incoming administrations.

The administrator Emily Murphy has to start the process and so far she has not given any updates on when she will begin. These gestures are pointing questions at Trump’s hindrance in allowing Biden to build his Government.

Biden has been ignoring Trump and is insisting for a bipartisanship. However, he might not be able to do so for long.

During a speech on Monday, Biden said, “This election is over,””It’s time to put aside the partisanship, and the rhetoric that is designed to demonize one another.”
