On Friday, there was a bomb blast inside a mosque in western Kabul. This killed four people, including the prayer leader and eight of them were wounded, according to an Afghan Government official. The wounded were take to the hospital and the police restrained that area.

The bomb was placed inside the mosque, said the interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian. According to a statement issued by the Taliban, they were against this attack and called the death of a prayer leader a “great crime”. Earlier this month, the Islamic State group’s affiliate claimed this mosque attack would happen but no one took it responsibly. AzizullahMoflehFrotan was one of the renowned leaders in the State.

The IS affiliate claim to be involved in most of the violence attacks that have increased in Afghanistan. Last month, there was a horrible attack on a maternity hospital in Kabul that is located in the city’s Shiite-dominated area of Dasht-e-Barchi. At this hospital, 24 were killed and among all of them, 2 were infants and many others were new mothers. The IS affiliate was blamed by the U.S. for this cruel act.

Along with carrying vengeance for Shiites, the IS group has declared war and even attacked the Sunni mosques. Sadly, the IS group atrociously took responsibility for an attack on a bus carrying journalists in Kabul on May 30, killing two. Further, at a funeral of a warlord to the Government last month, they attacked and killed 35 people.

Zalmay Khalilzad, Washington’s peace envoy in the region earlier this week, has tried to revive a U.S. peace deal with the Taliban, who might get prepared to fight against the IS affiliate.

In February, there was a peace deal that permits U.S. and NATO troops to leave Afghanistan. Besides, the Taliban committed to fight against other militant groups and they promised that Afghanistan’s territory would not be used to attack the United States or its allies.

In order to weaken the strength of the IS Group in Afghanistan, the Taliban along with Afghanistan’s National Security, Defense Forces and U.S. air strikes, they have been involved, according to Washington.
