Biden-Sanders Unity Task named six Indian Americans. It is announced by the former Vice President Joe Biden who is presidential nominee of the opposition party.
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and Former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy are selected as the co-chairs of the Health Care task Force. The Unity Task Force is an outcome of Sander’s endorsement.
The youngest member of the Task Force is Varshini Prakash and she is the climate change activist from Boston. The forces include the secondary representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and environmental justice advocate Catherine Flowers.
Former Secretary of State John Kerry is named as co-chair of this Task Force. She is the Executive Director of the Sunrise Movement which is a leading organization. She is one of the young people selected for the Climate Change group.
Eminent Indian American economist and former lobbyist Sonal Shah got selected as the Economy Task Force. She said, “Honored to be serving on the Unity Task Force. Look forward to winning in Nov!”
