United States, now being the epicentre of the deadly coronvirus has already reported over 400,000 confirmed cases with over 14,000 deaths. Reports suggest that amidst all the reported deaths, there have been 11 Indian Americans with 16 fresh cases reported again.
All the patients who have died are male and while 10 of them are from New York and the New Jersey area.
With the rising number of cases, New York has emerged as the epicentre of the virus, reporting over 6000 deaths and over 138,000 confirmed cases. New Jersey is the close second with 48,000 confirmed cases and over 1600 deaths reported already.
Reports suggest that an Indian-American has died in Florida due to the complications of the virus. Authorities are working consistently to testify the authenticity of the confirmed cases of the Indian origin people, try to find where they come from.
All the new 16 cases that have been reported, 4 of them are female and are under self quarantine at the moment. Aside from that, out of the remaining cases, 8 are from New York, 3 from New Jersey and the rest from the states of Texas and California.
Indian Embassy and the consulates are consistently working to ensure that the Indian-Americans are provided with all the necessary assistance that they need during this time of crisis.
Owing to the strict guidelines about this virus, the last rites of the deceased have also been conducted as per the protocol, to ensure that the virus doesn’t end up infecting anyone else.
