An Indian American student has been recently awarded with a World Peace Award in Los Angeles, California, by Passion Vista magazine.
The Indian American student Shree Shaini who is of 23 years of age and is an anti- bullying activist has been recently crowned with the World Peace Award. She has also been crowned Miss World America Washington earlier.
Shree Saini has survived facial burns and heart surgery at the age of twelve. She has also given around hundreds of presentations in over 6 countries and 80 cities.
Passion Vista is said to honor people from different walks of life every year with the World Peace Award for the contributions that the individual has done for the betterment of the society.
A press released has said that the award will be given in order to recognize the hard work that has been put by the individual and the dedication that has been kept by the individual into their respective fields of work and which will be in turn helpful for the betterment of the society.
Shree Shaini is identified to be an undergraduate student at the University of Washington and who is pursuing a double degree in the public administration and business. She has won several pageants in the past.
Saini had studied in Yale University and Harvard University and has been trained in acting at the Yale actors conservatory.
The Indian American was a native of Punjab and has moved to Washington when she was seven years of age. She has gone through several hard times in her childhood as she had been a victim of bullying in her childhood for being a person of color. Responding to it, she had created a website named www.shreesaini.org aiming to educate the people about her experiences.It has been said that she had written around 400 articles regarding emotional fitness, in newspapers through her non- profit shreesaini.org.
Shree Saini has been crowned Miss India Worldwide 2018 and Miss India USA in the year 2017. she has also been one among the contestants who have been selected for the Miss World America pageant in the year 2019.
