An NRI woman was made unconscious which was followed by the robbery of the gold jewellery and dollars that have been done by unidentified people and have fled the place.
The elderly NRI woman has been identified as Darshana Rani who is said to be of 60 years of age who lives in the United States. The victim is said to be of Mohalla Gulmohar Nagar in Khanna.
The image of the suspect has been captured by the CCTV cameras that have been installed in the street.
According to the police officials, the incident has taken place just few days after Darshana has come to her home town and the incident had been described by the police officials as the accused has entered the house of the victim and had made her unconscious by using a sedative and had fled with gold jewellery comprising of two gold bangles, two gold ear- rings, a gold chain, two gold rings and US dollars.
The grandson of the victim, Prince has said that, his maternal grandmother lived in Gulmohar Nagar and that she comes to India once in every year and would live along with him during her visit to India. He added saying that Darshana Rani would stay with him at Krishna Nagar and that he would leave her at her house during day time.
Prince had said that he found his grandmother lay unconscious when he had reached her house in order to take he back with him after dropping her at Gulmohar Nagar at 12 in the afternoon on Thursday. He added saying that he had been told by his grandmother about the loot which had taken place.
The police officials had said that a case has been registered regarding the same and that efforts are being made in order to identify and arrest the accused.
