With the distress that India has been consistently suffering from for the past few months, the Indian Overseas Congress, USA called on for the “Bharat Bachao” rally which is going to be hosted on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1 PM in front of the Indian Consulate Office.
The main agenda and objective of this rally is to bring further awareness and protest against the current views of the BJP government including the anti-people politics, economic slowdown, rate of increase in the degree of unemployment and the distress caused to the farmers.
IOC USA is following along the footsteps of the AICC to further stage the protests across the globe, hailing help from the NRI supporters for the organization and the Congress party. These NRI supporters are genuinely worried about the condition of the poor and the people affected by these situations and want to stand in solidarity with their fellow citizens.
Not just in USA and across other locations, similar protests are also expected to happen in India as well on the same day. The other IOC units spread in London, Sydney and Berlin are also set to participate in this movement.
Mohinder Singh Gilzian, President of the Indian Overseas Congress, USA in an issued statement, stated saying, “While the country is going through a severe economic crisis, the Modi-Shah government is attempting to focus on divisive and polarizing issues to divert attention away from the real issues affecting people’s lives. We are inviting all those who love India and are concerned about the future of the republic to join us to make our voices heard.”
The Bharat Bachao rally in India is going to be conducted under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi at the Ram Lila Maidan in New Delhi on the same date. More and more people are coming forth to showcase their support; over 51,000 MPs already signed up to be at the movement on that day.
