Indian-origin Democratic White House candidate Kamala Harris, with deep regrets, has announced her suspension from the Presidential campaign that she has been running for.
Harris, a coveted senator from California was one of the frontrunners with her bid that she gave for the White House back in January. The only issue she faced was that she failed to stay ahead in this packed and competitive field.
Back in November, her cash strapped bid resulted in laying off some of the staff from Baltimore HQ, New Hampshire along with her home state as well.
For announcing her withdrawal of candidature from the Presidential campaign, Harris took to her twitter account to tweet the news out.
In her tweet, she stated saying, “To my supporters, it is with deep regret — but also with deep gratitude — that I am suspending my campaign today. But I want to be clear with you: I will keep fighting every day for what this campaign has been about. Justice for the People. All the people.”

In another statement, Harris also clarified saying that her campaign doesn’t have enough funds to support through the Presidential campaign. She said that it is not possible for her to fund her own campaign, owing to the fact that she isn’t a billionaire. With the progress of the campaign, Harris has been consistently facing issues and struggles in raising the money that they need to compete against the other candidates.
Harris also conducted a conference call with her staff on Tuesday to then clarify her decisions to them. She has received bouts of supportive messages and tweets following the news and people do hope that she comes back again to work for the people’s welfare.
