A recent data by SyndicateRoom revealed that four of Britain’s top fastest-growing start-ups are co-founded by Indian immigrants followed by the United States and France.
The immigrant co-founders of Britain’s fastest-growing startups represent a huge diversity from 29 different countries of the world. About 49 percent of the UK’s fastest-growing startups have at least one immigrant co-founder, while just 14 percent of the UK residents are foreign-born.
The list includes video game technology business Improbable, co-founded by India-born Herman Narula, Revoult, Monzo, TransferWise, iwoca, Checkout.com, Onfido, and OakNorth, co-founded by Rakesh Khosla.
According to data from Tech Nation’s 2019 report, the fast-growing startups co-founded by the immigrants combined £3.7 billion in investment.
India, U.S., and China drew more investment in scaleups while the UK attracted only five percent of global scaleup investment.
The data also shows 42 percent of co-founders of Britain’s fastest-growing firms are European Union (EU)-born and 38 percent of Britain’s businessmen were born in a European Union (EU) country.
