The Embassy of India in Muscat has proclaimed the second edition of ‘Bharat Ko Janiye’ quiz organized by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in order to encourage diaspora youth to intensify their knowledge about India.

The quiz offers participants a chance to win a 15-day tour of India and various other elating prizes. The overseas Indians, including Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) of age group 15-35 are open to taking part in the quiz.

The topics for the quiz, which will be conducted in two separate categories of participants include Indian art, democracy, geography, economy, personalities in music and dance, science and technology, education, traditional crafts, languages and literature, cinema and renowned personalities.

According to a press release, the four rounds will be conducted in the quiz, while first round will be conducted online for NRIs and PIOs in Oman.

The online quiz can be taken from June 28 to July 28 at www.bharatkojaniye.in and the advance online registration is mandatory to participate in the quiz.

The top three participants from Oman, in each category of competition – NRIs and PIOs, in the first round of quiz will be awarded by the Embassy of India, Muscat, qualifying for the second round.

The second round will be conducted online for all NRI and PIO winners across the globe, the final round will be held in New Delhi.

The gold, silver, and bronze medals respectively will be awarded to top three winners in final round along with a certificate at the 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention 2019.
