An Indian-origin man in United Arab Emirates has won a gigantic jackpot of 10 million dirham ($27, 22,450 or Rs. 18,22,25,000) in a lottery in Abu Dhabi, adding up to an elongated record of fluky winners from India.
Dickson Kattithara Abraham, an occupant of Nigeria, had acquired ticket in Big Ticket Abu Dhabi. The 10 million dirham prize was proclaimed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport’s arrival hall. Among nine further winners, five are Indians, three Pakistanis and one from UAE, according to media source.
Big Ticket Abu Dhabi is established in 1992 is the major raffle draws for cash prices and a dream luxury car which is hosted at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
In April, an Indian chauffeur in UAE had won biggest ever raffle prize money of 12 million dirham in Abu Dhabi while one more Indian had won the same in January.
Among 10 people eight were Indians who had won 1 million dirham each in October earlier this year in a mega raffle draw in Abu Dhabi.
