The Indian High Commissioner to the United Arab Emirates, Navdeep Suri, in an interview has assured that the Indian government is working effectively with the UAE officials to address and solve the issues faced by Indian migrant in the Gulf country such as exploitation and abuse.
He also confirmed that the External Affairs Ministry is working closely with the state as well as UAE government to improve the circumstances for the Indian migrant workers.

Suri stated that although 2.7 million Indian population lives in UAE, the rate of exploitation is very low and the country does not habitually exploits people.
The High Commissioner recently inaugurated the WorldSkill Competition in the country, in which India has sent 77-member strong contingent to participate in the mega event.
