The families, whose students are studying in US, are more focusing on the EB-5 visas instead of H1-B visas as the hopes of getting the latter visa are reducing due to restricted visa norms by the Trump Administration.

According to the report published in the Economic Times, Trump Administration, in the case of EB-5 visas have increased the limit of the due dates for investment through regional centers from April 28 to September 30.

Experts have said that although there are speculations about increasing the base amount of investment for EB-5 visa, as the US constitution bars the government from changing the vested rights retroactively, the people who have already applied for the EB-5 visas, should not be worry about the changes in the policy.

According to the statistics, around 1.66 lakh Indian students in US makes 15.9 percent of the total student population in the US. The families which can afford the EB-5 visas want to go for it without waiting for the difficulties they need to face while applying for the H1-B visas.

This is also the reason that a leading EB-5 visa provider CanAm, seeing the raising demand of the EB-5 visas from Indians, is aiming to start their independent operations in Indian cities such as Mumbai and Delhi.
