According to the White House, US President Donald Trump has appointed Indian-American Raj Shah to on an important position on the communication team.
Shah, who has the experience of working as the Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Communications Director, will now be working as a Deputy Assistant to the President and the Principal Deputy Press Secretary.
Hope Hicks, a Trump confidant, has also been appointed as the Communications Director, according to the officials.
Another famous columnist for Fox News and the Washington Times, Mercedes Schlapp has been appointed as the Assistant to the President and Senior Adviser for Strategic Communications.

32-year-old Raj Shah is one of the closest persons to the President Trump and was called by the White House within few hours after the swearing in of President Donald Trump. Along with Hope Hicks and Eli Miller, Raj Shah was also considered as one of the Power Player in West Wing.
Shah’s parents are from Gujarat. He was born and raised in Connecticut after migrated to US in 1980.
