The most watched sporting event, the 2021 Super Bowl LV has finally concluded and it has been more entertaining that ever. Even its commercials are worth watching.
Here are updates of almost everything that has happened during the 2021 Super Bowl LV and during the iconic star studded Half time show.
This year’s commercials have been filled with unusual yet exciting guest appearances throughout the show. Here is a list of celebrities and the advertisements they appeared in:
Oatly’s Wow no Cow advertisement which was sued 7 years ago by Swedish Prime TV had mysteriously aired again on live Television. This was probably one of the most weird and unusual ads to air during the Super Bowl this year.
We also had Tracey Morgan, Former WWE superstar Dave Bautista and Liza Koshy promote rocket mortgage with a hilarious commercial.
Moving on, there was an advertisement from the Shelton family about T-Mobile’s 4G netowkr starring Country singer and The voice Judge, Blake Shelton, along with his wife, who is also a pop icon and a voice on the judge, Gwen Stefani. T Mobile has always been known to viewers in the United STates for having star studded celebrities appear in their advertisements including Liza Koshy, Gisele, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.
Another exciting advertisement that had aired tonight included the Moutain Dew’s spot for major Melon. It stated that whoever would count every single bottle of the beverage in the spot and tweet the exact number will win a stooping 1 million dollars.
There were also a few advertisements which promoted social causes including an advertisement about being safe during the pandemic which was sponsored and advertised by Fiverr’s Oppotunity Knocks and promoting an environmental issue, speaking about the beauty of the Himalayan mountains which was advertised by Mortgage lender Guaranteed Rate’s advertisement.
A CGI version of Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson appeared during the game which taunted the users for having laggy internet. Of course, the advertisement was promoting good internet services.
Of course, there was Amazon Alexa’s ad this year which features Michael B Jordan as Alexa personified.
There were some more advertisements which pertained to nature and its beauty.
There was also an advertisement which featured Hollywood’s most loved comedian, Maya Rudolph promoting the creative agency Mirimar.
Disney also had a 30 second bundle spot during the game for Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN+. This advertisement starred Elizabeth Olsen and Wanda Maximoff.
Yet another star studded advertisement the viewers got to witness was the Michelob Ultra which starred Don Cheadle, J Balvin, Usher, Serena Williams, Supermodel Adriana Lima and Megan Fox.
Bruce Springsteen made an appearance for the car company Jeep where he also narrated a two minute speech about unit for America.
There was a lets grab a beer ad which is not as enthusiastic as it sounds. It was directed by Filmmaker David Fincher with a music score by Atticus Ross which was more emotional than you think.
Of course, how can we forget one of the most iconic ads of the Superbowl, with Timothee Chalamet recreating the 1990 Tim Burton movie, starring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder, Edward Scissorhands, dressing up as the protagonist himself. The star of the movie Winona Ryder also featured with Timothee, representing her own role while Timothee was the son of Johnny and Winona’s characters in the movie. It was for a sixty second advertisement for Cadillac stars, the luxury car company.
Mila Kunis and her Husband Ashton Kutcher featured in a Cheetos commercial with a rendition of the Shaggy’s song it wasn’t me. It is the first time the couple featured on screen together after working together on That 70’s show.
Serena Williams featured in another advertisement with Anthony Davis and John Long on cars. Other celebrity appearances included Amy Schumer and even the Canadian R&B superstar The Weekend who was also the star performer for the Super Bowl half time show along with Miley Cyrus and Amanda Gorman.
The Paramount streaming platform featured the Jersey Shore cast in their Paramount + advertisement.
Martha Stewart also made a cameo for her Super Lunch advertisement.
Canadian rap artist Drake also made a cameo in an advertisement for State Farm. Nick Jonas was another celeb appearance for the official Super Bowl advertisement.
An unusual add which left the viewers confused but emotional was the Will Burroties save the world advertisements.
Matthew McConaughey himself appeared in a Doritos 3D advertisement.
Doordash featured the Sesame Street official characters in their advertisement.
A couple of upcoming movie trailers and even a few movies which are nominated for the Oscars 2021 had played.
Dan Levy featured in an M&M’s advertisement promoting the new M&M Super Bowl special. Rapper Lil Nas X promoted his new song Defy Logic with Logitech with an advertisement.
One of the last advertisements to play was an Advertisement by Uber Eats, promoting healthy living and eating.
For the first time in 55 years, the superstar was forced to perform from the stands rather than in the pitch, to follow strict corona-virus protocols.
When it came to the game, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9. Tom Brady had won the MVP player. This is the seventh time he had won this title making him the only NFL player to hold this record.
